Thanatos

A young man's journey to true love through his obsession with self loathing. An intriguing concept with an attractive cast and some heartfelt moments.

It wasn't relatable, nor did I sympathize with the characters enough to have compassion for them. This story would have needed more exposition than afforded in twenty minutes to accomplish this. .

I would not write, direct and feature myself in my own film especially as any kind of a showcase of my own talent.. While there was some interesting camera work, the extreme camera angles were at times very unflattering to an otherwise attractive cast. There was an unmistakable self -conscious third eye perspective on the part Director/Leading Character. The film could have done with a Cinematographer and Production designer.

An interesting story based on an even more interesting concept, that lacked professional production values. I would pick this up and remake the film

A nice film. And just nice is the great problem of it. It gives a beautiful story, not so bad performances and, unfortunatelly, it has a huge potential. But it prefers be only a sketch of a seductive, powerful story about a connection between two different people and their simmilar universes. So, just a nice sketch of relation between a poor - for so many reasons - man and a woman with not so usual job/ hobby. The result - behind this nice remains an unrealistic portrait of a relation who seems missing only a drop of care for be just great.

As a news blogger for the Dutch & English Femdom "Universe" (Femdomverse), I find Thanatos entertaining.

In 1 sentence: beyond the desires & urge of the sub ánd the Mistress, it becomes clear as the film progresses: they're only human. I.e. We are only human.

Getting this message across within 20 minutes - with few means of production - I think it's an achievement.

Don't expect a movie that wouldn't look out of place upo adult platforms. But because of the way both personaes are written & played out, an age limit is adviced. This according even, or rather especially, from an 18/21plus sector writer like I.

This short is noting more than a vanity project for an untalented would be writer/director/actor.

It's a poorly realized project that looks like a home movie.

And here's a word of advice: if you're going to make a movie with a Dominatrix in it, be sure that she's hot. The woman you cast isnt and she can't act either. Like you.

I want my 20 minutes back.
