Love this series. I love discovering on Netflix cinema and series from all over the world. Like people were able to do in the past, on the radio, finding stations from other countries. Finding Ola is very well produced, very well acted and really hilariously funny at times. Hind Sabri, most of all is excellent. The woman knows how to act: drama, comedy, she has it all in her. Hello, Hollywood...?
If a series doesn't catch my attention in the first episode, I won't continue. I binged watch the whole series in less than a day.
I enjoyed the storyline, so very much. I'm all about women empowerment, and I'm sure it'll give many women the courage to live their lives for themselves. Too many times, we fall into the trap of pleasing society.
Thanks to all who took the time to create this really outstanding series. Let's not forget the phenomenal acting 👏 bravo.
Last but not least, please...don't take too long to start filming season 2. I'll be waiting patiently.

I have to admit that I couldn't wait to leave a review even after only starting the first episode. I wasn't sure I wanted to watch something Arabic so I checked out the trailer and was immediately hooked! Into the first episode my liking for the show was confirmed! I love finding out that we are all the same with the same problems.
Netflix has productions going on all over the world. Some are bad some are mediocre and some are excellent! This for sure is one of the latter!
I got attached to the main protagonist right away because her circumstances are so familiar and you get immersed in her story!
Can't wit to continue and I'll probably will bing watch this gem!
BTW I love watching with the original language, I find I get used to it very quickly and it makes watching the show much more authentic!

The only authentic thing about this show is the language, everything else is so un-Egyptian. The culture, the dress, the setting, home interiors. Clearly made by a bunch of Americans.
I'm really impressed by the acting of the cast, they were beyond amazing.
In my opinion some reviews are being tooooo harsh, the series is really realistic change of ola's character, sure she is not representing most of the Egyptian classes but her character definitely exists in society.
And the message behind her character will empower women not to stay in toxic relations which is needed in our society that dooms divorced women not only by her freedom but even giving her 'cliche' nicknames.
The best part in the series for me is the parents activity that they did in the camp.
And how they showed fathers being vulnerable which did not exist in my experience and was lacking in my childhood. Maybe that would teach future parents to include their children and to build a relationship with them beyond a son and a father...

- TriviaThe series has been developed in parallel to Netflix's first Middle East original "DJINN" which was a massive critical and commercial failure. what contributed to Djinn''s failure was also due to its culturally inappropriate depictions and due to this, FINDING OLA was significantly toned down and can clearly be noticed throughout the series.
