The International Noise Conference is the creation of Rat Bastard of the group Laundry Room Squelchers, and originates in Miami, Florida, where it has run yearly since at least 2004.

It is the "South by Southwest of noise"-a style of cathartic music often characterized by a complete absence of melody, harmony and conventional 4/4 rhythm.
