Shin kankin tôbô: Gekijô-ban

A pretty girl named Kimika wakes up chained to the pipes of a boiler room, her captor a strange figure dressed in a padded sumo suit, their face hidden by a rubber gorilla mask beneath a gas mask. The kidnapper, using a voice changer, phones Kimika's CEO father demanding that he put a stop to his company's merger with China or else the girl will die. While her father decides what to do, Kimika's abductor abuses the frightened prisoner...

39 minutes did seem rather short for a pinku, but because IMDb's stated runtime matched the version available to me, I believed that I was seeing the complete film. Sadly, a number of jarring edits and a lack of shocking content quickly suggested otherwise. The version that I watched on a popular subscription streaming service was undoubtedly heavily censored - a dull, anodyne affair that delivered minimal nudity and practically none of the sleaze that the title suggests. I definitely won't be bothering with any of the other pink titles that the same service is also offering: all of their run-times are suspiciously short.

For the version I saw: 2.5/10, rounded up to 3 for IMDb.

This movie is 70 minutes. Others that said it was much less didn't watch the full movie.

The sex scenes I thought were boring, went on too long & not erotic. Didn't seem like they put much effort into them. They are a part of the story but if they shortened them a lot, this would have been a much better movie.

The rest of this movie was excellent. The story was interesting but as things progress although slowly there are a number of surprises along the way. Occasionally but only occasionally there are some good visual scenes. A few times things moved too slowly but then a surprise in the story would happen and I became more interested again.

The story is simply a girl is kidnapped and kept in a basement by someone in a costume. Her father is President of a large company that is attempting a merger with another company. Anything else I give would spoil some of those surprises.

I liked the story and how things transpired. I'd recommend fast-forwarding thru the sex scenes and you'll enjoy this movie a lot more.
