Nice organ tho

The fine b/w use of stills from the choreographic sex battle of the sexes is not enough to sustain whatever analogies are intended by the filmmaker, as these are already divested from semantics in the motley surfaces, hypnotic gazes and mechanical references that characterize the sexual self. Even the interesting close-up on shampooed hair fails to carry the miniscules to a cosmic sphere: part of the trance evoked.

I don't usually review shorts, but this one by Peter Strickland is worth 7 minutes of anyone's time. An ASMR deep dive, made art. It's more about the sound, than the visuals, but the whole piece is arresting. Photos of a dance, capturing an energetic struggle and poured over meticulously. Its voyeuristic and slightly unsettling... unless you have ASMR?
