This was a really cute movie! I didn't know what to expect but my daughters, who are 8 and 10 saw the commercials for it on TV and asked me to buy it. They just loved it. I thought the cast was great and Jennette McCurdy did a great job. She's fun to watch on iCarly. We liked the 4 girls the solved the mystery too! My girls are hoping for a sequel!
I thought the adult actors did a good job too. I didn't recognize any of them but they were talented and funny. Especially the professor. You can tell this isn't a big budget movie from a studio but it had lots of heart and I'm glad we own it. I would recommend moms buying this for their kids.

Okay, so I saw this movie when I was younger and fell in love with it. Years later, I realize that it's pretty flawed.
First off, the acting isn't that great. Edwards and Meyers seemed to be the worst out of all of them , and I'm pretty sure they only got the roles because their moms wrote it. The girl that played Riley (mean black girl) played the role well, but you could tell she was nervous. Emma Duke was just...bad. Like she's the definition of a child actor. But despite this, they all play their characters, for what they are, pretty decently.
The writing is really weird and awkward sometimes. To the point where it's almost distracting.
But I appreciate this movie because of the direction and the fact that the cast looked like they were actually having fun. The director obviously had a vision and the way the characters act is just...I don't know, fun and charming to watch.
If you hate cliché tween movies, probably avoid this. If you're a girl or someone who likes girl movies, then maybe give this a try. When I need something simple to watch, I usually go to this movie.

The plot is pretty good. Nothing unique but the movie is fun and entertaining for kids about age 6-13.
My grandkids love the actress who plays Mia in the movie, she's on iCarly and they love that show.
The other characters in the movie were good. My grandkids liked all the characters in the movie especially the kid with the red hair and all the hives, and the coach who talks with an Indian accent.
My favorite was Professor Plume. He was a hoot!
I rate it an 8 out of 10 because there aren't too many movies I can let my grandkids watch while they are at my house. It kept them happy for a couple of hours and that makes me happy!

In my humble opinion, this is a film that will only be liked by those of a certain age group, most probably pre-teens. The film is not intended for all age group, and as such, those who are way older than the targeted age group, would not like this film that much.
The acting wasn't that great, probably because the cast are not experience in acting, and they may have problems to portray their acting into a more believable manner.
Having said that, I think their acting is quite good. And the storyline wasn't that bad either. The storyline were not focused at times, but I don't find to be bothersome.
Again, this film is may not be enjoyed by everyone, but only to those in the pre-teens age group. As for me, I don't find it my liking, but my nieces love it.

Minor Details is literally the worst thing I have ever seen on a screen. It is as cheap, generic, cheesy, and overrated as a Denny's hamburger.I have never seen such bad acting in my life and would only watch this movie if someone put a gun to my head and told me to.The writing, acting, casting, theme, feel, direction, setting, and even the point of this entire movie is outrageously stupid.Just by looking at the title of this movie made me scream out that it was it was going to be another girly film about a bunch of baloney, and I was quite right. The actors look like they're holding their script in front of them and saying their lines aloud, and the only decent and sort of known actor in Minor Details is the girl from iCarly that was still terrible in this movie.I sort of think that my 10 year old sister, the one who made me watch this movie as it was her turn for family movie night, created this entire movie after an investor passed her 100 dollars to make it.The only thing they got right was characterization which was because the characters are dim witted and have the direction of a broken GPS.If you put a decent film with a sub-par plot such as Rudy next to this movie,Minor Details would disintegrate in to a million pieces. This movie is just another mixture of a bunch of other movies with the same theme.Minor Details must have been put together by super glue because this movie's sense of interesting plot structure is as weak as a cheap watchstrap. This movie is as ridiculously cliché,as if someone watched every single movie ever made, found a running theme in all of them, and put them in to this one .If you are above twelve and/or male I would advise you not to watch this movie unless you have a big bowl of ice cream to tolerate it.Minor Details is absolutely perfect for a ten year old girl's slumber party.Otherwise, don't watch this film.
