    moving and memorable

This film captures something about the struggles of daily living in a way that is really inspiring. It reminds me a lot of the film "Avalon" in that the touching moments come on slowly but with impact and they are touching because they are based on basic, familial experiences that most families go through.

It is also always refreshing to watch a Mormon film that doesn't feel like a "Mormon film", has real artistic direction and doesn't alienate the non-Mormon viewer with tons of "insider" references that go unexplained. It wasn't overly-didactic or cheesy either even though it had a lot of good messages in it. The film had a really nice flow to it, great acting and it was really beautiful visually. Overall, it was a good, solid film and I think that diverse audiences would relate to it and find it very enjoyable.

    Wonderful Family Film

If you are anybody who gives a hoot about the wellbeing of your family, you are not so different from the people who made this film. You can tell by the trailer alone that this dram/com film, though not made on a blockbuster budget (it didn't need one) has quality and heart. You may be a naysayer to films that come out of Utah, but seriously, give this one a shot. Don't let silly prejudice or unfair judgment hold you back. The production quality is superb. There is no language, sexual content or violence. So basically, you don't have to shield your eyes, cover you ears or feel sick to your stomach when you leave the theater. It's something you can watch with everyone in your family.

When Aaron is packing up his desk before potentially quitting his job, the mountains outside his office window are green. This scene is supposed to be set in Utah in December, making those green mountains an impossibility.
