A dramatic scenario with some touch of humor is what permeates the small narrative from "Dilúvio Carioca". On a rainy night, a married man (Felipe Rocha) breaks down
to his wife (Paula Newlands) that he had an affair and he's very regretful about everything. It's all forgiven and forgotten until the following day when
he says that he told to his boss about their talk from the previous night, as he consider his boss as a friend. What possible outcome could come out of this?
A series of other absurd situations.
A fine short film, with a nice dose of humor and some small tension, apart from the good acting and good presentation of everything, the curious thing about it comes from one character that gets divided in two which makes things a little peculiar to follow. While Rocha plays the man on the scene, the events are told by a voice-over (Candido Damm) whose point of view and description comes from the man yet different actors are playing the same character and it's hard to figure out why an older man narrates everything as we see a younger man (and if you consider the ending it's more confusing). A film destined to provoke many reactions despite an apparently simple story of infidelity and how men and women react under such circumstances. 8/10.
