In the pilot episode, Travis falls fast and hard for his new girl, Keisha Kakes with a "K", but the guys detect something shifty about her. Meanwhile Royce and the guys throw a party across the hall to raise extra money for the rent increase.

The air conditioner is broken at the guys apartment, so Carmen comes in to repair it, and accidentally sees Jaheem naked coming out of the shower. Meanwhile Omar get's a hot stock tip and hits big in the stock market, but then loses it all.

Jaheem's so called black activist cousin Adrian, comes to town and begins to brainwash all the guys with his unethical beliefs during the duration of his visit; while Todd joins an experimental medical trial to make some fast money but it gives him bizarre side effects.

After a huge fight with Mercedes, Royce moves in with the guys and drives them crazy. In the meantime, Todd has a DNA Test scare. An old drive-by says Todd is her baby daddy, so Omar and Royce give Todd a makeover so he can find a job to support the baby.

Travis' sister, Lauren comes for a visit and crushes hard on Omar. Travis sends a clear message that his sister is off limits, but Omar somehow finds himself in a romantic entanglement . All the while, Mercedes and Jaheem tension finally erupts and comes to a head.

Trying to make deadlines at work, Omar begins to take Adderall which begins to alter his personality just as Lauren starts to fall for him. Todd blackmails Omar after discovering his little secret, while Jaheem and Mercedes try to work out their relationship, when her old flame comes to town to win her back.
