Surely every movie fan has been thinking about how to use the empty streets during the pandemic lockdowns for a film.
They make for a great background, if your story and character are engaging. Unfortunately the latter is not the case.

An alternate universe in constant warfare has been found. According to Dr. Charles Marland-White (Ian McKellen) and Professor Ostergaard (Conleth Hill), there have been many agencies attempting to experiment on it. A woman (Tori Butler-Hart) wakes up tied to a chair in a non-descript house. She tries to escape but keeps returning back to the beginning every time while also witnessing flashes from the other world.
It's interesting for a little while and then I stop caring. The woman isn't given any story and there is no particular reason to care about her. The story isn't given much story. This is really only a sci-fi short. This was filmed during the first pandemic lockdown and all the actors are acting on their own. I appreciate this attempt but it doesn't have enough to hold for a full length theatrical release.

One of those movies that you feel bad starting it...and still watching to see that it will end even more badly .... ufff such a waste of time ...feeling sorry for all those people working on the movie :( and the sound - the audio team is... i guess from theater kind of style ( if so... i understand them ), even I felt the low budget audio team or else... blah - if you want to feel almost miserable - just do it ;)
A well made, well acted story involving an apparent time loop and using the word "quantum" to suggest some sort of explanation for it all. The important thing to understand is that it is not going anywhere and nothing will ever be explained. If that appeals to you, you might want to see it.
For a film with no budget wasn't bad. Not taking that into account, it was a bit simplistic in a complex way. Let me explain that. Yes the physics concept behind the idea is complex but if you get that then really the whole thing is just literally in some way the same thing over and over again. The story is quite basic in facts. So as much as I like the visual representation of a physics concep, I would have liked more story. I would have liked more background, know who the girl is, how she got enrolled, was it volontary like we finally learn was the casefor the people in the cube or was she forced into it? Also does she know who she is?
As for the presence of Sir Ian, frankly, him or another actor wouldn't make much difference for the time he is actually on screen.

- TriviaAs the film was shot during the first UK lockdown in 2020, only Matthew and Tori were ever on set. The rest of the crew would review footage remotely. Ian McKellen and Conleth Hill's footage was shot by them with Matthew directing online.
