Puss N Boots

We fell for it! Packaged to look like the Shrek spin-off movie, this is an awful cheap French animation with zero charm or humour. Some of the background art is very pretty but the rest of the film, acting, plot and script are just plain awful.

The character animation is quite simply creepy. I think the makers were aiming for Tim Burton-esque quirkiness, but they missed by a mile.

Then there's the music; weird renditions of classical music played slightly out of tune in a kazoo. Really intrusive and screechy.

To be avoided at all costs. One star is generous!
