Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has expressed uncertain opinions on movie remakes. An older video posted by movie critic Kamaal R Khan (Krk) on Twitter emphasizes Ranbir’s views on the subject. Krk called Ranbir’s viewpoint a “great remark” and commended it.

Ranbir Kapoor spoke with Komal Nehta in 2013 about his opinions on remakes. He explained why he would rather create original material than participate in successful movie remakes.

Mumbai, April 22 (Ians) Veteran actor Puneet Issar, who is best known for his role of Duryodhana in B. R. Chopra’s ‘Mahabharat’, will now be seen essaying a patriarch Bhanupratap in the new show ‘Vanshaj’.

Talking about his role, Puneet said: “As one of the living elders of this family who has witnessed the ascent of the empire, Bhanupratap has held it together and prevented it from crumbling despite the undercurrent of family dynamics.”

Puneet has been part of a number of films and TV shows. He acted in films like ‘Chandra Mukhi’, ‘Prem Shakti’, ‘Ram Jaane’, ‘Border’, ‘Refugee’, ‘Krrish’, ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ‘Ready’, among others. He was also part of TV shows such as ‘Param Vir Chakra’, ‘Bharat Ek Khoj’, ‘Junoon’, ‘Noorjahan’, ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’, ‘Bigg Boss 8’, and many more.

The 63-year-old actor further said that the values and ideals of his on-screen character are quite relatable and he personally finds a connection with Bhanupratap.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the Yash Raj Films spy action thriller ended a box office drought for the Hindi-language Bollywood industry, which had a lean 2022, and marked a comeback for Khan, not seen as a leading man since 2018’s “Zero.”

“There was a lot of curiosity to see Shah Rukh Khan back after his hiatus – he took a break from media, from appearances, he just became inaccessible to the world, there suddenly was a thirst that he created for him – today, audiences are used to stars being out there in social media and events and everywhere,” Anand told Variety.

Mumbai, Oct 24: Actor Ranbir Kapoor, whose last film "Besharam" was trashed by the critics and rejected by the audience, says he doesn't regret doing romantic-comedy.

When asked if he regreta doing the film, the 31-year-old said: "Not at all. I don't regret doing 'Besharam'."

The Kapoor scion started his career with dud "Saawariya" and in six years he has done about a dozen films. Of these "Bachna Ae Haseeno", "Wake Up Sid", "Raajneeti", "Rockstar", "Barfi" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" did well at the box office and the rest bit the dust.

Mumbai, June 3: Director Ayan Mukerji's well-scripted and well-executed young romantic love story "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" appealed to the movie buffs so much that it minted Rs.62.11 crore in the opening weekend. The film's lead actress Deepika Padukone admits that the phenomenal opening surpassed their expectations.

The Rs.50-crore "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" reunited Deepika with her real life ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor on the screen and off the screen too and their on-screen chemistry has turned out to be a high-yield reunion post "Bachna Ae Haseeno".

Mumbai, June 1: Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" collected Rs.19.45 crore net on its opening day in the country.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji of "Wake Up Sid" fame and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the movie released Friday. It has been confirmed that Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film Bang Bang, an adaptation of the Hollywood film Knight and Day will release worldwide on 1 May 2014. The film, which will star Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in the leading roles, will officially commence shooting next month. The Bollywood Showstoppers show took place last weekend with an explosive four hour musical spectacular featuring performances from Shaan, Atif Aslam, Malaika Arora Khan and Bipasha Basu.
