Katy Brand's Big Ass Show

I love a good comedy show just as much as anybody. There is nothing quite like a good comedy sketch show, and this is nothing like a good comedy sketch show.

I have been waiting and waiting for this programme to be listed here so I could tell the world what a total piece of rubbish this really is.

The songs that Katy performs are just totally stupid and not worded very well, that's when you can actually hear what she's trying to sing, the sketches are just not funny at all and her impressions are just totally stupid too.

What's all that stuff about Kate Winslett and being normal? She keeps mentioning her name and "normal" during these sketches. What's the point of that? Maybe it's so you don't forget who she is trying to be as she is so unlike her! I've seen several of her sketches and not laughed once. Some of them are very sexual and yet they wouldn't make school children laugh!

I know some comediennes like to make fun of their bodies and she does because she is a little on the heavy side. This is her "wild card" if you like, yet she still manages to ruin it.

I'm not usually a fan of canned laughter but it helps here to remind you when you are supposed to laugh if you want to be polite or it tells you when the joke is over.

I really can not understand why such rubbish even made it to TV in the first place. Mind you it has the status of being one of the such dire TV shows which are only screened on ITV2 as well as "Katie and Peter Unleashed" and "Coleen's Real Women". It was also advertised so many times on ITV channels to try and convince people to watch it.

I never heard of Katy Brand before and now I don't want to hear of her again.

I remember watching this show at the time and enjoying a sketch show that is a little bit ballsy for the time. Never heard of the comeduan until this sketch show, but have seen her many times since. A lot of piss take of media from the time it was filmed such as girlbands being big at the time, 'feminism' misandry, old bands making sad comebacks, the fashion industry, and a few niceley bizzare imaginings of what the real life of celebrity icons. Don't expect class or anything edgy, it's a lighthearted sketch show that things like celebrity juice and boselecta have managed.
