It’s time to board a plane departing Minneapolis, because a new batch of singles in the Mile High City are looking for a chance to elevate their love lives.

During the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion, co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey enlisted the help of the Minnesota Vikings’ Josh Metellus and the Denver Broncos’ Alex Singleton to announce where the global dating experiment is heading next season.

“I want to thank you for coming to the Twin Cities. I’m excited to pass the ball to the next season,” Metellus says, in the clip above. Virtually catching a football, Singleton then shares that Season 9 of Love Is Blind will take place in Denver, Colorado.

Love Is Blind is notoriously known for participants with vibrant red flags, but I'm surprised by this season's results. The unique Netflix experiment is one I've always enjoyed. With its release in 2020 and the Covid-19 shutdown in full swing, the pod show brought a special type of comfort to TV screens. However, as Love Is Blind has gone on, I realize the pods make it really easy for participants to hide their red flags.

Eight seasons ofLove Is Blind, and I’m just as hooked as I was when I tuned into the show for the first time in 2020. I know what you’re thinking — yes, I agree the quality has tanked quite a bit, and there are many cringe moments. But despite the downsides, I’m an unapologetic Love Is Blind fanatic! I’m talking, watching every season, following all the YouTube reaction shows, and staying up to date on all the tea being spilled outside the show. It’s one of those that’s so bad it’s good, guilty pleasure shows. But that’s not to say there aren’t aspects of the show that I truly resonate with and appreciate.

The grand idea behind the reality show Love Is Blind is to encourage love between two people based solely on personalities. However, not all cast members appear to be there for the right reasons, and not everyone comes off in a positive light, either in the pods or after meeting in person. A few even stand out for their behavior back in the suites during the initial dating process.

Netflix continues to dominate the streaming world, with several of its shows ranking at the top of the latest Nielsen streaming charts for the week of February 10 to February 16. Leading the pack is Sweet Magnolias, which secured the No. 1 spot by pulling in an impressive 1.2 billion minutes of viewing time.

Right behind Sweet Magnolias is Cobra Kai, which also gathered nearly 1.2 billion minutes as fans tuned in for the final episodes. Another popular Netflix reality show, Love Is Blind, also crossed the 1 billion minutes mark, proving that viewers remain invested in its dramatic love stories.

Meanwhile, The Night Agent wasn’t far behind, with 952 million minutes watched. The action-packed thriller has consistently performed well since its release.

Interestingly, Bluey, the beloved children’s show, was the only non-Netflix title to break into the Top 5, showing its lasting appeal to families.

Never has there ever been a more frustrating character than Madison Errichiello on Love Is Blind Season 8. As one-fourth of the quartet of major characters who left the pods alone, Madison has spent much of her time trying to rewrite history. And the reunion has proven that her ability to manipulate and mold situations is unmatched. As the reunion shed a lot of light on various situations, Madison continued to push herself into stories and narratives she should not have been in while deflecting by playing the victim card.

Netflix dominated the Nielsen streaming charts from February 10 to February 16 with Sweet Magnolias leading the pack.

Coming in at No. 1 on the overall list, Sweet Magnolias racked up nearly 1.2B minutes viewed in the first full week following the release of Season 4. Cobra Kai came in a close second, also with almost 1.2B minutes viewed on the heels of the final episodes.

Love Is Blind also managed more than 1B minutes viewed, and The Night Agent came in just below that threshold with 952M minutes viewed. Bluey was the only non-Netflix title to crack the Top 5.

Apple TV+ boasted its fifth consecutive week on the streaming originals chart with Severance making it to fifth place, reaching a new weekly high of 681M minutes viewed. After eight long seasons of Love Is Blind, the show still struggles to reach a comfortable middle ground between drama and love. Quite similar to The Bachelor franchise, the problematic contestants are making Love Is Blind lose credibility and interest in the realm of reality dating shows. However, when Bachelor Nation threw a curve ball and introduced their golden spin-offs, viewers could not get enough! With mature conversations, heartfelt moments, and innocent exchanges, senior love makes for great TV.

Love Is Blind Season 8 is plodding toward the finish line, bringing with it a handful of watercooler moments, as well as questionable couples. While many of the couples on the series bring their own drama – with differing opinions on politics, sexuality, trauma, and religion – family members of contestants are also known to get in on the experiment. But not all families are as supportive as Brett Brown's when he introduced them to Tiffany Pennywell, making us believe in love again.

Love Is Blindcontestants seeking fame over love has been a growing problem in recent seasons of Netflix’s reality dating show – from cast members whose behavior on the show suggests they likely weren’t there for the “right reasons,” like Stephen Richardson and Hannah Jiles last season, to those more blatantly looking for fame, like Nick Dorka, whose journal entry about his aspiration of becoming “the most famous person ever” on Love Is Blind was exposed at the Season 7 Reunion. In Season 8, however, it appears that Love Is Blind’s fame problem has taken on a new form, with people both inside and outside the cast seemingly standing to gain something from the show’s popularity.

Love Is Blind: After the Altar was a reunion special filmed months after the show wrapped. Unfortunately, after Love Is Blind Season 4, the special was canceled, allegedly due to logistical difficulties and low viewership. However, the segment was a crucial part of the experiment. It gave viewers valuable insights into how the couples made their relationships work in the real world and also provided updates on cast dynamics.

Pixar, Disney+ share first episode of Win or Lose on YouTube

Pixar Animation Studios and Disney+ shared the first episode of the critically acclaimed new series Win or Lose on YouTube today. Pixar’s first original series features the intertwined stories of eight different characters as they each prepare for their big championship softball game — the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire. The first six episodes are now streaming on Disney+, with the final two episodes premiering next Wednesday to conclude the heartfelt series. Watch the first episode, titled "Coach's Kid," below.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy crosses $100 million mark at box office without U.S. theatrical release

Despite not having a theatrical release in the United States, Universal Pictures and StudioCanal's sequel, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, has surpassed a global box office milestone, raking in $100 million in worldwide receipts.

Most reality shows revolve around one iconic location. The Bachelor has its luxurious Southern California mansion. Survivor has its remote Fijian island. Love Island has its sun-soaked Majorcan villa. Jersey Shore has …the smush room.

For Love Is Blind,it’s the pods. They’re a series of fairly small rooms, each outfitted with a couch, a rug, and a shimmering wall that’s shared with another pod. Singles can hear, but not see, one another as they fall in love. After popping the question, the newly engaged couple see each other for the first time, testing if love is truly blind.

In the video above, Emmy-nominated production designer Dave Edwards takes you on a behind-the-scenes tour of the revamped Love Is Blind pods for Season 8. He reveals how the crew transformed the look and feel from the ground up, making the iconic pods even cozier, immersive, and, yes, romantic.

During the Love Is Blind Season 8 reunion, hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey welcomed Ad from Love Is Blind Season 6 and Ollie from Love Is Blind: UK to the couches to announce the return of Perfect Match, which launches later this summer. “We went from inside the pods and over the pond straight to the beach, where we’re joining Season 3 of Perfect Match,” the pair say in the clip above.

But the surprises didn’t stop there. After announcing their participation in the upcoming season of Perfect Match, Ad and Ollie clasp hands and walk down the beach. Then Ollie gets down on one knee, surrounded by a stunning seaside display of white flowers and candles. “You’re my best friend.

Well, it was another roller-coaster season on Love Is Blind.

Five couples got engaged in the pods, but only four made it to the altar. That doesn’t mean, of course, that those four all said “I do.”

In fact, it wasn’t a very successful season from a marital standpoint, as only one couple wound up tying the knot.

So who was the lucky pair who took the plunge? And why did all the others hold off?

We’ll start with Monica and Joey, who seemed like one of this season’s safest bets.

After some initial rockiness involving her sister, these two successfully weathered every storm together, and it seemed like they were destined for marriage.

So you can imagine our surprise when they decided not to get married.

Bundle up and prepare to melt your cold heart, because Love Is Blind has touched down in Minneapolis for Season 8.

This Valentine’s Day, the global dating experiment returned, marking the five-year anniversary of the series. Like the many singles before them, a new group of men and women fell in love and got engaged all before ever seeing one another face-to-face. With co-hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey by their side, this fresh crop of romantics seeking the soul connection of a lifetime entered the pods to find out whether love is truly blind.

So, who are they? The Season 8 pod squad includes 32 singles — the largest group to date — ranging in age from 26 to 43 years old. Among them are three nurses, several former cheerleaders, many world travelers, and more than a few self-described Christmas enthusiasts — no, seriously, they really love Christmas. As for...
