The movie aims to make audience serious but practically it all results into comedy and foolish science fiction with baseless dimension. One of the most FALTU and PAKAU movie we have witnessed in the history of bollywood. Mohinjadaro was better compared to this foolish storyline. All things starting from music to direction and from acting to funny science fiction badly disappoints. Akshay Kumar also fails to impress and jackline Fernandez is merely a entity which provides audience with some freshness through visuals. Overuse of CGI , may be the director considered Indian audience as fools. Don't go in theatres and waste your hard earned money on this baseless movie. Bollywood continues the tradition to disappoint.
The story line in the film was good and it developed as the story progresses. The character introductions in the film was really good to watch. Akshay sir did a great job as an archaeologist in the film.
The VFX was good. The background soundtrack was impressive. There was a suspense at the end and it was impressive to watch. The story suddenly changed in the second half and the way it progressed was good. The court scene and the dialogues were written great and Akshay sir was impressive in the court scene.
The movie overall was good and Akshay sir given one of the great performances with different role.

Is Akshay Kumar back with another underwhelming film? After delivering the disappointing action comedy Bachchhan Paandey, a historical action drama Samrat Prithviraj, a family drama Raksha Bandhan, and a crime thriller Cuttputlli, he is back with his latest offering, an adventure action film Ram Setu, but this time he will not disappoint his fans completely. The makers have chosen a fascinating subject that hasn't been explored in any Indian film.
Abhishek Sharma's story was promising and has all the ingredients like adventure, mystery, science, action, and courtroom drama. The dialogues, direction & editing were good, and the background score goes well with the film. But there was more scope for better & engrossing writing here. The concept may have sounded more exciting on paper but the execution is mediocre. Also the below-par VFX is the biggest drawback of the film which has hugely affected the overall impact of the film.
The film starts on a good note and the first half of the film has little cinematic appeal too. But the screenplay can hold the audience in bits & pieces. The film tried to revive itself in the second half and picks up pace. It does become engaging and the surprise in the climax will be loved by most of the viewers.
Akshay Kumar has delivered a notable performance. Jacqueline Fernande was decent in her role but Nushrratt Bharuccha has nothing to offer here. Satya Dev got a well-written role and he has done complete justice to his role in his Bollywood debut. Nassar, Pravesh Rana. Jeniffer Piccinato, and other supporting were just fine in their roles.
Direction 3/5 Acting 3/5 Dialogues 3/5 Story 3.5/5 Screenplay 2.5/5.

Ram Setu review :
He is an archeologist, a scientist and an atheist. By the end of the film, he also turns a lawyer and a bhakt!!
I mean Shri Ram Bhakt!
That's pretty much the graph of Akshay Kumar's character - a desi Indiana Jones if you may wanna call him - who is sucked in to a timebound expedition out to prove that the Ram Setu (or Adams bridge) connecting India to Lanka was man made. And more importantly, Lord Ram is NOT a mythology but our glorious history.
Drawing real life influence from the mid '2000s case where the previous UPA Government had filed an affidavit in court challenging the very existence of Lord Ram, the film seamlessly weaves in a thrilling adventure in to the proceedings to provide a wholesome Diwali entertainer for the entire family. Particularly, the underwater sequences will appeal big time to kids...
Unlike Samrat Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar is in form this time and he steers the movie effortlessly through its twists and turns right up to the courtroom climax. Nushrat Bharuccha looks too young to be his wife though!! The real surprise package turns out to be Satya Dev as AP, a tourist guide volunteering to help Kumar and co. For a couple of bucks.
On the flipside, the VFX are underwhelming, the film loses grip a couple of times in the second hour and Jacqueline looks more a model than a scientist. But all of these flaws get drowned in the ocean once the climactic revelation happens...Ram Setu just soars in the end and the final "divine" twist tugs your heartstrings to clap aloud in appreciation. Make it your family outing!!

Although the movie's mistakes were huge in professional terms but the script written by the writers was hats off. The script was made in such a way that people from both sides of beliefs were not hurt at all. I personally don't think the Adam's Bridge is whole Ram Setu or it is a small part of Ram Setu if Valmiki's calculations were correct or correctly interpreted. The film was very serious on it's topic & it didn't deviated it from it's purpose. I liked watching this movie & gave me nostalgia to Oh My God! (OMG). And the fighting scenes were not liked so-called movie scenes which are impossible or rarely possible to be done in real life.
