According to the history, in 13th century, Chinggis Khan's army went on conquests of eastern Europe and southwest Asia. They were often led by the Khan's descendants or trusted generals and took several months and years. After taking down their opponents, they often occupied the cities and settled down with their armies. So going back home from an ongoing quest was extremely rare, that General Tomor suggested Ari that she might go home later in the days if opportunity comes.
