During the frat scene when the parents come home and lecture the entire group, the look of fear on all the men's faces was real. They had known Judy Paris (the director's real life mother) to be a sweet and kind lady. Without telling the cast, Branden instructed his mother to yell at them the same way she did when he and his brother screwed up as kids, thus shocking everyone and getting a great reaction.
