Papillon noir

In a forest of the Vercors area some women have disappeared.In an isolated place lives a lonely writer, alcoholic and quite bad tempered; he has financial problems and wants to sell his house.When he was driving his car, he has some trouble with a lorry driver: in the café where he meets the real estate agent, the lorry driver insults him, but vagrant takes away the driver and gives him some punchs.The writer thanks the vagrant for his help.Later he meets the vagrant on the road and offers him to stay some days in his house .Little by little the vagrant begins to enter in the life of the writer and so there are tensions between the two men. Very good performances of Eric Cantona and Stéphane Freiss.

I enjoyed being double crossed.

I confess it looked a little slow and vague to begin with but the plot became deeper and darker......and quite misleading.
