Well at least it had a two-headed dog--other than that it was dreadful

The film begins on a very cheap set and you see what is supposed to be a super-fast car, though again the prop used was sadly cheesy. A guy who loves lightning moves into a home with a lawyer and his wife...then the next three minutes made absolutely no sense at all and it's impossible for me to even try to describe it further.

Aye, aye, aye...where do I begin? This is an amazingly dreadful short film and I felt compelled to say this because so far both reviews on IMDb make it sound like a work of genius--giving it a 9 and a 10. Oddly, the overall score for the film is very low. I checked the ten votes and fully half gave it a 5 and the rest weren't quite so high. This could mean that it's just not a film for everyone and I really don't know how to explain it otherwise. All I know is that the film appears to be very amateurishly made (with a $74.27 budget) and wasn't at all interesting or compelling to me. It really looked like an inside joke or is perhaps a film best viewed after receiving a bad head injury. Why others liked it, you'll just have to read their reviews.

    The Mark....

I witnessed this impressive short at a local film fest, and being a keen follower of genre based cinema (in particular horror) this four minutes of wonderment blew my face off. Filmed in retro style with epileptic editing techniques, 'The Mark' is something that has stayed with me and etched itself on my brain. A film whose narrative has more ideas than most feature films, benefit is certainly gained from multiple viewings, preferably back to back. Similarities to the works of Kucher, Kern & Lynch abound, but this is a work of true originality. I fear and prey for a full length feature from this director, a person with a crazed eye and a wonderfully subversive passion for cinema. Unforgettable!

    A Stroke of Genius

I don't really understand this short film, but I love it. I've downloaded quite a few shorts that premiered at Sundance 2008 from iTunes and this one is by far my favorite. It's so entertaining that I have watched it five times already. The music is great. The acting is spot on for the piece. The feel and tone are consistent. I love the animation sequences and the random movements of some of the characters. Some of it feels like he actually took outtakes and put them into the film, but even that still works. I make short films too and I just wish that I was talented enough to make this one. I also just want to meet this guy so I can ask him what it means to him.
