Movie is average with story, editing and story even could be better...Few areas are highly unrealistic and over streched....
Many sections could be edited in a better way..
The overall composition is good compared to other Bengali movies..The social life and superstition of rural Bengal is well established..
Characters have done average acting..Even to be very honest there was minimum scope of good acting, Few events that are shown in the film is highly unrealistic and could be handled in much better way...music composition and placement as well as camera rolling were good...Location of shooting is good.
As with most Kaushik Ganguly's films, this too is based on a social issue and well crafted. The mindsets portrayed are difficult to uproot, but the film clearly tells us which path to walk.
The script has some flaws and is a tad too sentimental, but is mostly well paced and acted. Special mention for Churni Ganguly, Ambarish Bhattacharya. Music is good.

Kaushik Ganguly constructs drama like no other, and his latest release which announces his comeback as director after three years is not an exception. An audacious social commentary, powerful and truly gut-wrenching,the film addresses volatile religious dogmatism, racism ,exploitation in the name of religion compellingly. Ujaan Ganguly in his second film as an actor gives a incendiary performance,he truly inhibits his role like his skin. A passionate performance from the whole cast lifts the film to another level. The casting was tailor made for the roles. The competent script also balances well with the other aspects of the film,it evokes tension, emotion whenever required in the film. There are some believability issues in the film in the second half,as it indulges in monologues and coincidences which might seem far fetched. But the acting department has eclipsed those defects, the cast has made everything look believable .The camera work deserves special mention too,it minutely reflects each and every nuances in the film. We realize the dark world of superstition which could be viciously vindictive if shaken when we leave the hall. Kaushik Ganguly has given another thought inducing film in his career.

Everyone should hit the theatre to watch it ayleast once.. it explores the superstitions prevailing in villages and sometimes in town as well and used in the name of religion to harness money and how its reality in medical terms... A concept never bought up before the audience!!!!!!!! Great one.....
Everyone should watch it, be it for the performances, story or message. It is top notch on all these aspects. And the performance of Ujan Ganguly in the last scene of the film is beyond explanation.. A beautiful narration and message.

Kaushik Ganguly never disappoints with his direction. A great film with a great message. Great performances by Ujan Ganguly, Churni Ganguly, Indradish Roy, Ambarish Bhattacharya ( specially his narration) and others. Music on point. The film is great social commentary about casteism, superstitions, domestic violence, social stigma, political and monetary power that is relevant in every corner of India. KG has guts to take up such a topic in current India where jobless people are busy boycotting films every now and then due to bs reasons.
Everyone should watch it, be it for the performances, story or message. It is top notch on all these aspects. And the performance of Ujan Ganguly in the last scene of the film is beyond explaining, he alone steals the show there.
