The Evil of Nowhere: A Paranormal Documentary

Nothing happens. NOTHING! Subtitles for for only hearing static. A radio on scan. Ouija board doing nothing.

I'm not sure what the other reviewers were expecting, but this movie isn't meant to be be an over-produced polished Hollywood film - it's a paranormal investigation, plain and simple. The group does a good job for what they're there for. They spice it up with their solo challenges and get evidence of possible paranormal activity.

Don't go into this expecting some big Hollywood production. Enjoy it for what it is and what it's made for; some guys going to a reported haunted house to try to get evidence of the afterlife - ghosts et al.

They do a good job with post-production, adding music and good b-roll shots to help set the scene and mood; plus they have good sound which for some reason is the bane for the majority of paranormal reality shows. Overall, it's a fun watch, so enjoy it for what it is.

Words on screen for EVP. Claims of being touched, Spirit boxes spitting out words from a radio station. Devoid of any actual evidence. Entertaining to watch though, typical of most modern paranormal documentaries. In it for the ratings, not for the research.

Decent premise, would have been more interesting if it wasn't filmed by someone who just picked up a camera the week before filming this. No understanding of frame rates, composition, establishing shots, use of tripod or stabilizer-no understanding of film production whatsoever; all around the production team did an awful job filming this movie. So many shots added in editing that have the camera operators in the shot. Terrible terrible terrible. Next time don't ask your buddy to film your movie, and hire a professional; the movie could have been salvaged with someone who understands how to produce a film. This was definitely the first film they ever edited too, I would have scrapped the entire movie if this is what the production company gave me as the final product.
