Very good storyline with lots of twists, which I enjoyed watching. Characters are good, the two leads are excellent. Combines a good crime thriller with the personal life of the female lead detective. After each episode I really wanted to watch the next.
Started slowly, showing just enough of each character. As you get to know everyone the story gets richer and more complex. The lead male actor Maciej Stuart was particularly creepy. The hero Aleksandra Poplawska was an excellent flawed person as we all are. The street scenes were lovely as was the forest. I enjoyed it very much.
Ok, this won't challenge your intellect but most foreign series from Walter Presents are worth a watch. That's not to say that they are formulaic as many countries and production companies are involved but most are of fair to high quality.
So, if you have a few hours to kill (no pun intended) you could do worse than immersing yourself in this.

Don't let the fact that this is a foreign language film put you off. With subtitles this is easy to follow. Its a superb well paced drama, good character development with a very sinister and creepy male lead that keeps things moving along. Excellent production on all levels.
I avoid Polish productions like the plague (I'm from Poland) because they often come across as cringeworthy, filled with complexes, which leads to clumsy attempts to imitate American films. So, this series surprised me - the script is good, it's engaging because we know the murderer from the beginning, so the thrill is maintained, the actors are very good, and the cinematography is well done. Only when it comes to the daughter, the charm dissipates. She's not a bad actress, but those costumes... because you can't call them clothes, she's not dressed, she's costumed, like a teenager in the imagination of someone very old. I've noticed that in Polish productions, when someone is supposed to be laid-back or carefree, they put hats on them. And it stands out because these hats are always poorly chosen, always acrylic (synthetic material). It's exactly the same here. Every outfit of hers evokes a feeling of awkwardness in the viewer. It's not a minor detail because every time the daughter appears on screen, we're reminded that it's just a series, and we lose immersion. But other than that, for a crime thriller about a serial killer, of which there are hundreds, it's okay, you can watch it.
