For modern Simpsons, this is pretty good. It was less cringe-inducing and more laughs, which is the way it should be.
Another Good Modern Episode Definitely Worth It To Watch Go Watch It It's Good You'll Laugh A Few Times I Know I Did Definitely A Improvement From The Last Season
This a spin-off of the treehouse of horror collection but this time is thanksgiving now let me tell you the segments the first segment A-Gobble-ypto which is a common reference to Apocalipto just like Treehouse Of Horror XXIII but this time Homer and his family are turkies or should i call them Angry Birds after chief wiggum tries to hunt and kill every turkey and homer gets his revenge on him, the second segment The Fourth Thursday after tomorrow which is a common reference to White Christmas after Marge uses a machine and everything goes wrong and the final segment called The Last Thanksgiving Bart and his students are on a spaceship inside, then Bart sees a can of cranberry and brings it to life in the beginning it seems nice and friendly but it turns mischievous after stealing everyone's bodies during the end credits we see a macy's parade balloon of Bart Simpson and in the gracie films logo Homer makes turkey noises.
This episode already marks a redemption to the specials that already carry the limit of absurd stories with stories of terror, science fiction or something supernatural such as the obsolete house of horror, I would like to know that they will go forward as the special valentin of horror , Easter, even Christmas horror LOL
my only complaint would be that it lacks a dose of humor, but I think it's too much to ask and by now, I still think it deserved the nomination for the emmy award.
I've been waiting the best part of a year for season 31 of The Simpsons to drop on Disney Plus in the UK so I could see the Black Mirror parody in this episode, featuring the voice of none other than Charlie Brooker himself. Imagine my disappointment when I find out he has all of one line and a throwaway gag, which has no impact on the plot whatsoever. As for the plot itself, it was curiously tame compared to the other 2 stories and just amounted to Marge fighting Alexa-Marge over Homer, Maggie and who gets the credit for Thanksgiving dinner. This type of story was done so much better in the White Christmas and Black Museum episodes of Black Mirror, not to mention earlier Simpsons episodes. I did like that Maggie had a Waldo doll and some of the other Easter eggs, though (except that they had Mayor Quimby on the TV with the pig and not President Trump - a missed opportunity there).
