My little girl is almost two at this time, and she loves singing. She is very interested in learning new words and concepts, too. This show is perfect for her. Its goal is to provide positive male role models on television, as well as to thrill kids with music and action entertainment. It is not as far-out as Captain Kangaroo or as fantasy-filled as Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. It doesn't need to be. It is tailored to suit modern children, kids who need more realistic father figures than what we usually see presented on TV. The Movers don't interact with eight-foot-tall, make-believe dinosaurs, slapstick cats and dogs, or an idiot sponge-person. The puppets on the show are cute and limited to a small amount of screen time. Disney has a hit with this series that seeks to provide a lot of music, a lot of positivity, and a bit of education to boot. It's more grounded in reality than most programs found on children's television these days (for example, "Yo, Gabba Gabba!"), and features a violence-free warehouse in which the Movers can interact with other amusing or pleasant human characters, such as Mr. Knit Knots and Nina. The music featured on the show is strongly reminiscent of '80s and '90s pop rock. I like it, and my wife agrees that the Imagination Movers is just right for our little girl.
I have a four year old sister and twin 1 1/2 sisters that completely adore this show. My 4 year old sister just loves to dance to the music and it is also music that I myself can enjoy and that helps me seeing as we are 16 years apart and I find my self having to watch them when I am home. Although they love the show my other siblings that are in Elementary School love the show too. I find that they are always playing "Imagination Movers" and someone has a part and someone in my family will tell them an "Idea Emergency" and they fix it. I think this show is wonderful!!! If you have anyone in your house that is young this show is worth giving a try. I found that once my mom started to record it on our DVR that this is all that they want to watch!!

My son LOVES this show. He is only two but he can't get enough. I have to record them for him on my DVR so he can watch them later. They are the best...move over wiggles. My son learns so much and loves the music, they are great to watch. The music can be listened to over and over, very modern and fun. You will not be pulling out your hair if you have to listen to it over and over, I even find myself singing along. We can't wait for more..or may be a movie... We would definitely go, more then once. I recommend this over all other, they use their minds to think through problems and come up with different solutions while being funny and entertaining. Thanks Imagination Movers your doing a great job we can't wait for more.
Such a cute show- very entertaining for the little ones and witty enough (at times) for parents to smile. The Imagination Movers teach the kiddies to use their heads to solve problems. If something doesn't work the first time, you should try try try again. The music is original and actually quite good. These guys play many different instruments and take turns singing the catchy tunes. I like that- it shows that no one has to be the "star" and that you can work together to make it work. Parents- if you enjoyed the '60's show The Monkees, the Imagination Movers will remind you of it. The writing and premise is very similar. Good, harmless, goofy fun.
This is the Monkees of the new millennium! I grew up in the 80s and watched their reruns and have loved that group for a long time. When I saw that Imagination Movers were going to be on Playhouse Disney, I decided to give it a shot (for my 8 month old and my almost 2 year old!). The show is terrific! The songs are catchy, the jokes pretty funny, and best of all THEY AREN'T ANNOYING like most other children's shows! I would actually consider going to their show if they came to my town!
They teach great things like brushing your teeth, exercising, and also have creative ways of solving problems. I'm looking forward to the Halloween episode. Disney has been playing a song from it and it's a snappy tune! Even my almost 2 year old sings the words that he can pronounce! "Boom, boom, boom, cha cha cha. Oooh, oooh, ooh, ya ya ya!"
