Entertaining But Plot Holes Stretch Things

It's interesting that Agatha Christie didn't write a mystery using the disciples of Jesus. It would have been fun. Here, a religious nut case murders people with the same names as those disciples. In tis one, Charlie is forced to work with occult sciences like numerology. It is understandable that he doesn't buy into it (I don't either), but he walks around with his smug know it all insensitivity. A religion professor is helping them, and he can't keep his tunnel visioned brain out of the discourse. That aside, it is an interesting plot. The conclusion is disappointing, pointing once again to some shoddy police work.

    • Trivia
This is the fourth episode of the fourth season, and "Thirteen" is its title. One plus three equals four. In numerology, 444 is an angel number. Additionally, in Christianity, there are four Gospels and four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
    • Goofs
During the beginning of the episode when Alan first walks in, Don calls his father by his own first name. Not sure if it's a real goof or not, but it would be weird calling ones father by his own name when normally Don calls Alan by dad.
