With this in mind, a balanced itemization approach can work exceptionally well here.

Similar to Kelvin's mixed build in Deadlock, McGinnis is well-equipped to disrupt her enemies, aid allies, and deal high Dps all the while. She has a few major cons, like low speed and stamina to work around in the early stages of the game, but the turret-toting hero is decidedly beginner-friendly with the potential for growth. To play her properly, you'll need to strategically level McGinnis' abilities and equip items that complement both her strengths and weaknesses.

Grey Talon is an excellent hero choice for Dps-focused Deadlock players, and his best build reflects his combat skills. While plenty of the game's characters perform well with a balance between support and solo abilities, fans of this hero will instead need to juggle Spirit Power and Weapon Damage. Equipped to work with either, your chosen itemization for Grey Talon will play a key role in his build.

Seven may be Deadlock's most popular Dps hero in early playtesting, but Grey Talon deserves credit where it's due. Deadlock promises to bring a blend of the studio’s renowned game design expertise with the ever-so-popular hero shooter format. This genre is well-known for its diverse roster of characters each with their unique abilities.

Concord is a familiar hero shooter that doesn't rock the boat in terms of core gameplay. Casual modes are fun, but balancing them and a tactical shooter mode simultaneously seems troublesome. Despite solid core gameplay, Concord remains a hard sell without a strong hook.

Selling Concord, a task that might have been easy five years ago, feels like rolling a boulder up a hill in 2024. Developed by new studio Firewalk and published by PlayStation Studios, Concord is a 5v5 hero shooter that riffs on Guardians of the Galaxy with a cassette-era take on a pulpy space setting. It's a premise that could certainly work, but the prime cultural moment for something fitting that bill has already passed, and an aggressive slate of upcoming hero shooters like Marvel Rivals and Valve's Deadlock promises a lot of competition.

Steam users who have long struggled to sift through thousands of unhelpful reviews are in luck because it looks like Valve is attempting to streamline the system. As useful as many reviews on Steam's digital storefront can be, the vast majority are copy-pasted memes or provide little insight into the experience. Optimizing the curation approach to highlight user reviews that provide valuable information on a product would make the Store a much more valuable place for consumers who care about the quality of their games.
