Stay Calm

Stay Calm is a refreshing and unique take on a zombie apocalypse that flawlessly uses a love triangle against the backdrop of a world plagued by a zombie virus. Themes of overcoming addiction and the complexities of love and friendship permeate this horror film, and we can feel the hopelessness and sadness of these isolated characters. A pending attack at any moment and the threat of the virus manifesting in our three protagonists creates an ever-present feeling of dread. Impressive writing, acting, and pacing makes for a horror film that intelligently bends the rules while still delivering on what we expect from zombie horror. I can't wait to see what else is in store from these directors.
