A fine adaption of J.R.R. Tolkien's Legendarium

Tolkien fans will love this short fan film. There is an epic scene of hand to hand combat that alone is worth watching. As with many other fan films, it's free to watch on YouTube.

A Fine Short Film

Cirion, son of Boromir I and ruling steward of Gondor is at war with Balchoth (a fierce group of Easterlings). The Balchoth are winning the battle. Cirion, a wise steward, sends forth Borondir with the Horn of Gondor to call for aid from the Éothéod. When the battle is won, Cirion gifts the land of Calenardhon to the Éothéod - the land we know as Rohan.

To clear up any confusion: Boromir I is a (several great) great-grandfather to the steward family we know in Lord of the Rings. Boromir II, son of Denethor II and brother of Faramir II, is named after him.

Nice short film on how Gondor and Rohan's alliance began. I just wish it was longer.
