First act is interesting and I really expected this to be a 6/10 movie but it falls apart after roughly 45 minutes. I understand what were they going for with the atmosphere and the soundtrack etc. And it would've worked! If there was a better story/execution.
Protagonists have a very strange relationship which isn't elaborated on a lot so they're not likable as a couple at all. Despite that, I found myself liking them as individuals and rooting for them.
Grandma is creepy and the movie has that weird kind of aura all around but unfortunately it's not the good kind of weird since it leads to nothing in the end.
There was a lot of potential here. It's a common theme this year for directors to ruin horror films with second and third act for whatever reason. There were no memorable scenes or even good ones that I can recall.
Didn't like the ending.
Overall, it was somewhat interesting and I wasn't bored but it profoundly lacked layers of the story and most of all, decent scenes. 4/10.

I thought the cinematography and sound effects lended to the movie's creepiness, but the positive aspects don't go far beyond that. Like many reviews have stated, the pace of the movie is extremely slow. I kept waiting for something to happen but I was dragged from scene to scene till the final plot reveal ...to absolutely nothing original in horror. The female lead seems to be the only one conscientious enough to realize they've landed in a f-ed up scenario and her companion just wonders about aimlessly taking in everything like, "What's the big deal?" There were elements of the film that had me wondering if there was some kind of supernatural entity at work, but those were dumb plot points that remained unanswered at the end of the film.
I took the word of someone on just going into this movie not knowing what it was about. Welp... I dislike this movie very much. Not to say that the acting wasn't good. They hit their marks very well. Clearly a decently funded movie, but honestly this was not worth the amount of time that it was made into. The story could have been done in 30 to 45 minutes. Doubling it truly dragged it on longer than was needed.
This movie seemed like what the Hewitt family from the TCM do in their spare time when Leatherface is nowhere to be found. It started out fine but didn't manage to hold my attention by the final act, it just felt empty.
I wasted however long this movie is (not wasting my time looking it up) minutes of my life on this trash.
Yeah, it has a good premise, but the directing choices are trash, the scenes are long and drawn out without adding any substance. Plot tie-ins are stretched too thin and don't even flow properly.
It's just dumb. Really. It's a dumb movie. I did rent it, so that's a wasted $6.
Seriously, don't watch it, it's stupid.
Just say no.
