This movie is good...community theatre good!

This story is, literally, painful to watch! Plenty of "smell the fart" acting, mixed with gobs of awkwardness and a heaping helping of truly horrible music makes the standard Hallmark schlock seem like The Godfather in comparison. This production has NO redeeming qualities. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Not even very, very cute Kevin McGarry could save this one

Even very very cute Kevin McGarry from the later seasons of "Heartland" and the very cute dogs couldn't save "A Very Corgi Christmas." Also, I very obv. wasn't amused that the main girl's cute bubbly sister who could have saved the film for me was a c word. :((

    Not Good

This is not a good Christmas movie or a good dog movie. The scenes are awkward, boring and slow. The dog scenes are especially poorly done. The acting is not great but that could be due to the terrible script including some especially bad dialogue, even by dog-Christmas-movie standards. Hard pass.

    How Does It Happen...

That I get sucked in to all the schmaltzy sap that are these standard predictable ridiculous holiday movies, short on romance and long on nothing else. And how come there is no affection or kissing or anything actually remotely romantic until the last scene? Just once I'd like to see a tongue jamming spit swapping kiss or two sweaty actors laying in each other's arms after a good romp. Instead we get a kiss that all to often looks painful, as if to say, God I hate this guy. Why did I ever take this part? Oh yeah. Because I'm not good enough to get a real role anywhere else. At least here they look like their mouth is open but no hint of a tongue anywhere. I swear the writers are just out of ideas so they stick to strict formula plots hoping it'll just work. It's like throwing something at a wall hoping it'll stick no matter how messy it is. With this one they mistakenly thought that throwing a puppy into the central theme mix would make it interesting. The acting is not the worst thing about this one and as far as I'm concerned the only thing redeemable about this movie is looking at Kevin and having a fantasy.

    The title lies

I switched to this movie and it appears to have one Corgi who appears fairly irregularly.

Admittedly I have only watched half an hour of it but less than 3 minutes of Corgi.

For it to be a Very Corgi Christmas I'd expect at least 3 Corgis to be in screen for a minimum of 50% of the whole film.

    Very disappointing.

    • Goofs
The movie takes place just before Christmas, and it was shot in the winter as there are bare deciduous trees and bushes everywhere and was cold but there is a light catch. In the daily outdoor scenes you can hear loud bird singing, and they sing from the late February / early March up until September.

Ben: I just think I wasn't ready. You know, it was all my friends and family telling me to get out there and meet people.

Lauren Bradley: Gotta get back on the horse again. There's someone for everybody.

Ben: Plenty of fish in the sea, yeah.
