The undercard, namely the first three matches, was not particularly good. The opener dragged for a little bit too much but overall was ok, but I didn't like the other two matches. The undercard, namely the first three matches, was not particularly good. "A really fun show. Smallman is great at keeping the crowd engaged whilst simultaneously giving them a bit of a breather. Due to work and stuff I missed all but the final 90 seconds of the dark match. The opener was a lot of fun, DNR are a great heel team and Mambo in particular excels in his role. I could do without Eaver piercing my eardrums though. Simmons/Mills was a good little encounter as the Mills losing streak story continues. I like Simmons a lot but Mills really brought it here too. Holidead vs. Candy Floss was okay. Everywhere I see Holidead I see people getting excited to see her and every time I see her I just think, well that was pretty poor. This was no different, the match was fun when Candy Floss was working her holds. She's super over and great at the technical stuff which made it all the more sour when she lost to Holidead. Ilja/Devlin was MOTN and one of the best of the year. Both guys are supremely talented and absolutely stole the show just before intermission. Go out of your way to see this match. The Paul Robinson/Primate stuff was good, but nothing to write home about. Robinson is a phenomenal heel. Starr/Banks was pretty good, Starr just oozes charisma and this was the first time I'd seen Banks before, he was great in this match. The main event was exactly what you expect as Kingston and WALTER tried to destroy one another without any weapons. WALTER retaining was the right call and I'm still not sold on Eddie Kingston any more now than I was 15 years ago. A good show, well worth watching.
