Certainly by defecting the top heel spot to Pete Dunne's crew The Origin can be cheeky and humoured heels. For me, though w/out Z Gibson, they draw zero interest. In addition, the cheap booking of Scurll/Havoc at Ch. 39 took me out of whatever feud they're currenting charting. So I just watched the last two matches. After their disappointment at Hiroshima, these two had a much better, the addtl length assisted them, contest in which the slower-burning Cole worked on Ospreay's vulnerable neck/shoulder w/ brief Ospreay flurries, incl his standard Space Flying Tiger Drop, to sparkle up the action. The extended third act was well-designed and tightly executed. My only jibe is Ospreay's selling, particularly the moment in which Cole hit his finisher, I believe, for the second time. Ospreay's mug is cartoonishly slovenly. W/ all the energy he's putting into 'selling, ' it paradoxically dissolves my 'pro wrestling' suspension of disbelief. Nevertheless, it's a solid *** 1/2. This makes Ospreay now 0-9 in the world of Progress '16; kudos to Os's unselfishness. ZSJ/Dunne was indeed a technical battle for control w/ ZSJ winning most of the exchanges either digging on Dunne's bandaged rt. knee or his neck via a cravat & neck crank. But once ZSJ draped his legs near the apron, and Dunne took advantage. Today's ZSJ doesn't sell as if he is wearied, or in pain... he sells as if it is a minor discomfort/burden, and continues to move forward. This makes it imperative that his opponents have the capacity to bully him. Dunne does - but, outside his forearms and a high release suplex, there's not enough of a beatdown to impress upon me that he's the champion, and ZSJ is not. The last few minutes featured the biggest moves, but it never got boiling hot, or even hot. ** 1/2. I wonder if it's natural for people of the S. Yorkshire to root for someone of the Midlands over a boy-man from Kent.
