The film starts off as an insightful exposé on the medical industry, which really opened my eyes to it's shortcomings, from mis-diagnoses and a staggering number of surgery deaths to a high suicide rate in doctors. The film then offers some answers, focussing primarily on an unconventional solution to chronic pain. The testimonials are helpful and compelling, but I felt I needed some more convincing (scientifically). The film relies on a lot of text on screen...but the testimonies and anecdotes streamline the film and keep you engaged, and make for a compelling case to give their proposed solution to chronic pain a try.
Got Pain is an informative Documentary on how the medical industry treat pain and disease in patients. The Documentary offers hope to overcoming pain and disease with alternative ways and treatment.
Such an inspirational documentary delving into the horrors of chronic pain that a variety not individuals experience together, we hear accounts from these people at different points throughout their lives...but, the film takes a turn in the most inspiring of ways. Won't say much more but it really was ultimately uplifting.
Got Pain is a really interesting documentary about chronic pain and those who suffer from it. This was a topic that I frankly hadn't thought much about until recent years when I saw it affecting older family members. It's really tough to see loved ones who suffer from chronic pain to be at the point where they have difficulty doing basic activities and seeing it really affect their quality of life. So it's great that there's documentaries like Got Pain that explore this issue since it's something we need to be talking about more as a society. The film is really informative. Got Pain is definitely more on the informational side of documentaries than a big budget visual experience, but that's not really what's needed here. It's clear that the filmmakers know a lot about these issues and that comes through in Got Pain. If you're interested in learning more then you should definitely give the film a watch.
"Got Pain" is a much watch for anyone in our around folks with chronic pain. Very informative and inspirational - I respect the hell out of Directors William and Chandra Vandry for putting this together to share with the world!
