Adorable 'Movie Style" Animation.

I understand not everyone may have enjoyed the MLP movie, but for those who did this movie is for you. Is a welcome change To be able to see this style of animation again. After watching it however you will notice it will make you think of watching the Wizard of Oz in reverse... you'll understand that after you watch it, lol.

About as good as the movie...

...Which is to say, it's painfully average. The animation is alright (though very different to the show), the two songs are okay, the plot is predictable but passable... you get the picture. It'll entertain small kids, but besides a few good jokes, I doubt it'll have the multi-generational appeal the show has. 5/10

Rainbows ... rainbows everywhere!!.

Good to see the movie art style again .. maybe this could have just been an episode or 2 parter .. Rainbow in invited to a strange new town .. with a mystery to unlock!. New friends to make ..

Its a good commentary on how how antisocial people can be without friendship. Thats a personal thing for me ..

Better than expected

I think it was better than I was expecting, considering it's a post-movie special. It's cute, and incorporated the character designs they used in the movie. I'd even argue this has a better plot than the movie.

All that said, it's better than the later FiM seasons too, which i think you can credit to a better crew working on it.

The future of the franchise might be in good hands

If this is indicative of the future of the franchise, the folks over at Boulder will handle it fine. Exceptionally animated, voice acted, written, I loved this special. Much better than what DHX and the Hasbro writers have forced out the past few seasons. Felt like Lauren Faust's MLP again.
