Kholodnye berega

I found this eight-part series gripping from start to finish. The acting is fantastic, the staging/scenery gorgeous, and the plot definitely intriguing. The only letdown is that it is somewhat predictable, but that should not deter the viewer from persevering to the last exciting moment. I hope the producer continues with such good work!

Not easy to get me hooked to a TV series, even less whodunnits, but this one, has EVERYTHING. Superb plot, characters with bright & dark sides that you cannot imagine, and the two leading actresses that just wish could personally genuflect to them. Gripping, growing intrigue and love triangles galore. I cannot believe the average rating here, maybe some English-speakers like me who watched without subtitles or something? Outstanding, do not miss.

I am studying Russian languages and came across this show on YouTube. Reading the title, I did not think it would be interesting but after the 1st episode, it made me want to watch the next episode, then the next, to where i was hooked; wanting to know what happens!

Not suspenseful, but intriguing and curious. Keeps the viewer interested.

I hope they make more of this show!

I've seen both available seasons now and I'm happy that I did. This was a real labyrinth of intrigue that sucked one in and left one wanting to go on to the next episode.

That's not to say that there weren't plot holes and inconsistencies. Some of the actions taken by the characters were implausible in the extreme especially in the second season.

I didn't guess the culprit until the final episode of the first season but I'd worked out who the murderer was in the fifth episode of season two. That didn't matter. I still wanted to see the twists and turns that I knew would be coming during the remaining few hours of the series.

Just an observation. Alina's hairstyle in the second season was absolutely dreadful. It was far too severe and didn't suit her. It made her look older than her age.

That's minor though. I'd recommend this series.
