E01: Wheel of Fire This is the beginning of the Georgia Flu Pandemic. It might sound scary considering the ongoing pandemic but the flu in this series is much dangerous and quicker so you will go past that. The strange thing I feel watching this pilot is there is a warm sensation watching Kirsten and Jeevan interact with each other even in the middle of cold snow. We are introduced more with Jeevan and Kirsten while in the book they only meet for a while, and I love how it turns out. Also, that plane scene is so subtle.
Loved the theme and as the review above me said you actually feel trapped like you're in the same situation our cast are!
The only reason it even gets two stars is the child actor does a good job. That's it. She's the only thing this whole episode has going for it. It'll put you to sleep.

- TriviaThis episode's title, "Wheel of Fire," is drawn from King Lear, Act 4, scene 7: "You do me wrong to take me out o' the grave: / Thou art a soul in bliss; but I am bound / Upon a wheel of fire, that mine own tears / Do scald like moulten lead." Toward the start of this episode there is a production of King Lear starring Arthur Leander (Gael García Bernal).
- GoofsWhen Jeevan and Kirsten arrive to the apartment building where Jeevan's brother Frank lives, The security guard calls Frank apartment stating "I've got a Jeevan down here..", while Jeevan never stated his name.
- Quotes
Young Kirsten: Do you think Arthur's dead?
Jeevan Chaudhary: If he is, he was doing what he most loved in the world when he died, so... that's cool, right?
Young Kirsten: Acting is what I love most in the world, too.
