What amazes me the most about this series is how realistically and truly main characters are presented. Dialogs and communication is so well written/done, that if I try to find a better words for anything said in this series - it just doesn't come up. Djuricko and Bjelogrlic are just perfect, and Todorovic has just outplayed himself. And Pejakovic (writer) has proved himself to be even better writer then actor (he's one of my favorites). I can watch these dialogs over and over again, and every time to get happy and excited with simplicity and in same time depth / heaviness of every simple sentence. Very good writing and acting!
Only minus (besides some week side roles), from my point, is ending.. It's a bit too sweet get-together happy end. Well, for my taste at least, it just doesn't sits together with rest of show.

I don't know about storks but I sure will be returning to this show again.
Matter of fact, this is my second time watching it and I'm loving it all the same.
As a Croat, I hate to say it but Serbs are 10 leagues ahead of us when it comes to TV shows and films.
Vratice se Rode is a perfect example. What a rollercoaster of laughs and tears! Spectacular series with a healthy amount of twists, brilliant writing, impressive acting and then some more.
A natural blend of humour and art, as it should be, with iconic scenes that will be remember for decades ("Wh*res killed an honest man!").
The starring heroes form a triangle with all characters caught up in their own dreams. Some are trapped in the pursuit of richness (Dule), some in pursuit of love (Svaba), and some don't even know what they're after (Ekser).
All three are brilliant actors with widely acclaimed appearances and one of them recently lost a 3-year old son, a tragic ordeal nobody deserves.
Thank you for this series. Clearly a lot of work has gone into it and everything checks out. The plot is a tad slow but gets you there, the cinematography is more than solid and the soundtrack is beyond spectacular.
But most importantly, the human element is just there, man. When Ekser opened up about feeling as if "being happy just isn't him", it hit hard. Then, I fell of my chair again when Dule opened his mouth.
Altogether this is what TV is all about. A series that challenges, engages, entertains, and is in essence a mockery of itself; one that leaves you guessing whether you should cry or laugh. Or, what the hell, you might as well do both - that's life anyway.

Everything is amazing in this one. I was blown away by it. Simply watch it.
So funny and playful at times, and so dark and simply tragical at others, the show poses essential real-life questions and dilemas. Simply said, it is MUCH more than it seems at a first glance, and you realize this very early on.
Episode opening segments are masterful. Soundtrack is very, very good and suiting. Maybe the best acting seen on Serbian TV for quite some time, with special props to Goran Bjelogrlic, Srdjan 'Zika' Todorovic and Branimir Brstina who are at their best. Characters are brilliant and a bit overstated, which is exactly what is needed for them to be funny, intriguing and dark at the same time. Directed and written to be unique, with the main plot and the stories around it describing the hard and painful life in post transition Sefrbia. Although now filmed almost 15 years ago, the story and the point is ever so relavant and actual, almost timeless.
Original, heavy and captivating, one of the best TV shows I've seen in my life.
although i'm a movie and series fanatic in all their shapes,i can say without any hesitations that this is the BEST TV show i have ever watched in my life...Its understandable that this kind of shows and movies produced in the former Yogoslav Republics are concerning the war in Bosnia and the social life of people living there, but this show is nothing like that...In this show Serbia is out of war with their enemyes but is at war with local gangsters, mobs, drug dealers etc...This show is representing two best pals,Predrag aka Svaba and Aca aka Ekser who are struggling to a better life in their neighborhood....they're reselling cashiered perfumes for a low price only to pay their debts and to survive the actual day,but there is hope in them, because their characters in the show tells us that they have a vision, that they are good people no matter what happens....First season is out with 25 Episodes and believe me although i'm from Macedonia and i can understand the jokes and the actual situation that's presented by the director, i HIGHLY Recommend this show to all TV Series passionate lovers because i guarantee that you wont be disappointed....b.t.w. the soundtrack of the show is Excellent... Absolutely 10 for the show in every way.....Greetings from Skopje,Macedonia
