I'm applying the Total Abstinence Principle to this movie. Seriously. There's a guy in a Santa hoodie. I'm not sure how this movie is streaming. And then we PAID MONEY to watch it! It's like someone's dad made a movie and made everyone he knows "act" in it. I'm a terrible actor and I would have fit right in. It's actually bizarre enough that if you have an extra few bucks it's sorta entertaining? Because you can't believe it. My friends in high school made better films. SANTA HOODIE. This will now go down as a thing we talk about every Christmas. We're going to try to find a real movie now. Wish us luck!
The "Plan 9" from Outer Space" of the "Christmas Carol" versions.
Part story part acted. Similar to the Vincent Price version with a Narrator.
You could tell the actors had fun and were very happy to be in this time-confusing low-budget movie. Some of the actors played more than one part giving if a very "slight feel" of theatre.
Don't expect special effects or CGI in this movie. They cut back to the narrative as soon as Scrooge approached the knocker on his door.
My wife has made it her mission to watch every movie version of this book. She and I agree it is the worst so far, but is it so bad it's good?

I have never left a review before . But I just wanted to say this is the most painful viewing I have ever seen Acting very amateurish and wooden . I'm also confused . Is this modern day or not ?? Settings are fairly recent but the costumes are not
A complete waste of time.
More than half the story is told by the narator simply reading the book to the audience with little emphasis.
Supposedly set in the current era; however, many thinly-veiled and confusing references to Dickens' original time.
An excellent performance from all around. I enjoyed this film. Particularly Shane Buckley. He was entertaining all the way. It's really not a bad attempt at a Christmas movie!
