Did nothing for me. Overly contrived, trying waaaay to hard to be something it wishes it was, and falling woefully short. True surrealism invites you into it, not drags you kicking and screaming into a babbling soup of bubbling tripe !!! Did the pilot and 3 episodes, time I'll never get back. It seems this review needs 600 characters to be submitted, said enough on this, so how's the weather where you are???? What did u have for breakfast??? How long is a piece of string?? Did somebody fart or was it the cat??? Watched anything good lately because this is a verucca of a show. Just my opinion, go make your own... 🤷♀️
Absolutely hilarious there hasn't been a series like this since the Mighty Boosh & Monty Python! Spencer Jones is a force to be reckoned with & this is a game changer. Vic & Bob cameo anyone? Hope this will be commissioned for another series!
A surreal journey. A high end comedy that says as much about imagination and the skill of production and writing as it does about modern life. To fully appreciate Mr Clunkerdunks mind, it helps if your intellect can stretch beyond reality TV.
Some of the funniest and most inventive comedy TV I have ever see with jokes crammed in to each short episode. The fact that the episodes are only 10-15 minutes long adds to the enjoyment as the energy never lets up.
The extraordinarily wild mind of Spencer Jones is frequently misused on television - with him frequently popping up in vehicles that don't really suit him. Ultimately this is because at his core he is a very very silly man - as evidenced by his affably surreal stand-up.
A comedy short, then followed by these brief and brilliant series finally gives you a tiny glimpse into his televisual potential. In these concentrated little chunks he is a kaleidoscope of glorious madness. Both series do a good job of replicating the original flawless short - so a mixture of daily anxieties, musical interludes, talking props and the ever-present boggle-eyed wonder that is Dominic Coleman's terrifying Jonny Wallop. Even his equally idiosyncratic children appear in tiny, bizarre cameos. No scene is wasted. Every minute is a triumph.
