4 hours of opinions and nothing concrete. No suspects, no arrests. Each case is one hour and the producers repeat the same information over and over. These stories could easily be told in a half hour.
As a fan of True Crime shows I thought I would give this a watch so started the first episode with eager anticipation - it was terrible and boring! It was mainly a couple of women trying to aggrandize themselves by stating basic facts about the murders and asking each other questions, which were never answered, whilst adopting serious expressions. Although I considered it to be a terrible episode, I then thought that maybe it was just meant to be presenting the basic facts and setting the context for the following episodes, which was whether four double murders were all committed by a serial killer(s) or whether they were all unrelated. So assuming the following episodes would be better I moved on to the second episode. It wasn't any better it was just as bad, and I thought I have now wasted 2 hours. But as I was now halfway through the series and in an attempt to get some small redemption for my wasted time I moved on to the third episode, and guess what ... it was just as bad as the first two episodes. So, like a gambler throwing good money after bad in an attempt to win back their loses, I commenced the final episode. I mean, surely the final episode would provide some new evidence, or make some major revelations, and provide some resolution to the series. How stupid was I? Of course it did none of these things, it was just the same as the previous three episodes. Each of the 4 episodes focused.on a different one of the double murders but were all basically the same crap, I think the only differences between the scripts was the bit where it said (Insert names of murdered couple here). Don't waste your time watching this, especially as you have now been warned as that would make you even more stupid than me. Anyway, I'm off to the casino to try and win back my loses from the weekend.
I love real life crime show that investigate serial killers, but this show is full of ''it could be'' ''it might be'' ''it possibly'' etc.... without any actual discovery or concrete leads so in the end it's just a report about unsolved murders full of messy hypothesizes.
What is it with these over long and padded out true life murder programs that are being churned out? Murder on Middle Beach, which was a vanity project by her son, who quite frankly came across as the number one suspect in my view. Then Vanished, about poor Elisa Lam, which turned out to be more about the YouTubers and now this one, which I'm afraid to say I only watched the first episode as it was utterly pointless and, yet again, focused on the wrong subjects, the presenters rather than the victims.
Don't waste you time watching any more of these shows that could be just an hour long and far more watchable.
Someone described the presenters as 'sociopaths' and 'narcissists'. I agree, we have become a society of both of these groups of people and now we have shows being presented by these types under the guise of murder documentaries where it's not about the victims, but, the presenters getting their faces on the screens.
I have NEVER written a review for a show but I felt compelled to express how HORRIBLE this was! Two women talking in circles about the same facts ON REPEAT with absolutely no progress being made. To make people relive these murders just to create this waste of a show just seems cruel to me. I went to sleep and woke up on the 2nd Episode and they were STILL saying the same thing. This was horribly scripted and a complete waste of time. I'm assuming they tried to rip off "Cold Justice" and failed miserably! I'm going to binge watch Cold Justice now so I can right the wrong of watching this.
