To say this is mediocre does a disservice to medicracy. It's fine, but really the late great George Burns and John Denver did.this story *SO* much better nearly 50 years ago without so much holier than thou sort of writing.again It's fine but isn't really ground breaking in any way. If you're a holy roller this will appeal to you, everyone else (even those of us who loved highway to heaven/touched by an angel style christianity) would be better off giving this a miss. Not entirely sure why IMDB now has a minimum length for reviews, perhaps to insure people don't actually read them all, but for movies like this you get the general gist of the review in the first few sentences. Give this one a miss.
A good idea ruined by over the top and over rated acting.
As a Christian, I am surprised by how many good stories like this end up as mediocre films, either due to bad writing or bad directing. In this case its both and the sad performances of the over acting did not help.
The story is quirky and a bit odd I agree, but why is it that every time a good concept for a religious toned film comes along, it gets massacred with bad production and sad acting. Everyone in the film thinks they are Oscan worthy when in fact a grade 11 production of this film at a school would have looked better and more believable.
Perhaps if the story was written by someone who could write and directed by someone who could direct, add a better casting director to actually pick actors that can act, that this movie would have hit its mark.
It looks and feels childish and silly from the start. Sad because its a good idea ruined by a hastily assembled team. Sorry guys.

This was such a well made film with wonderful performances that brought both comedy and inspiration but did not shy away from serious and important issues when it comes to standing up for what's right and allowing ourselves to let go of the negative in our life and embrace the positive. What a great and heartfelt message for us all!!! I also thought the direction and cinematography was top notch and I look forward to seeing more projects with this talented director and team. If anyone has not seen this fantastic film yet, I highly recommend that they do. It's truly one to watch and watch again!!!!
Just finished watching the movie an I am not sure how to label it. Quirky? Odd? Weird? All of the above. The plot was portrayed in too chaotic a way for me to support here. Some of the characters were written well, real struggles and then some were more caricatures so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be amused or not. Things got repetitive to the point of annoying for me. The ending was not climactic in that there was no clear reason for it to me. I only kept watching to see if it was going to turn humorous like I expected but it was quite uneven, a few chuckles and a number of head scratchers on things that didn't play well enough to me. I think I realize what they intended to portray, it was just unattractive and unappealing. I couldn't invest in or root for any character.
