    Oh...my...God

Depicts everything that is wrong with Los Angeles: The self-marketing, self-celebrity. The superficiality. The materialism. The excess. The substance-less stupidity. If I was a terrorist and got cable, my next target would be LA, not NY after seeing this show. This is without a doubt the absolute worst America has to offer. Borat's depiction of the Midwest makes us look downright sane in comparison…and that was comedy. In contrast, this is an attempt at showing a "serious business" and the inside life of the valley. The producers apparently are from the area and don't find any of it strange, ironic, or disturbingly fascinating. It's done just like the tattoo show; very matter-of-fact and like it's something to strive for. For the love of God, the salesman talked this one bitch into putting her fair-skinned, true-blond 7 yr old in a tanning bed at the cost $1200 for her school picture. And keep in mind, I lived for over seven years in Las Vegas, so I am not unaccustomed to flashy lights or the big city. I feel ill after watching this, and I don't even have a problem with spray-on tanning or tans in general! Siiiick. I'm going to give it 5 instead of a 1 because it is educational on why people constantly bash LA so much: Guess what, they're justified.

    The absolute worst.

Finally, the day has come where there's a reality show with a worthless tanning salon as the key element. There is no way this show could come off as anything but laughable. The people working at this salon offer nothing to society, maybe skin cancer if anything. The majority of reality shows nowadays are worthless, but this has absolutely zero substance. This has truly scraped the bottom of the barrels, if it deserves to be mentioned with barrels at all.

What's next, a reality show about an abortion clinic? At least that would offer some legitimate drama.

I gave this one star because its premise is so absurd I had to laugh.

If I could give it 0 stars I would

As the previous reviewers have mentioned, this show is an embarrassment to the USA. I'm American, but have lived in enough other countries to know their opinions of us "yanks". This show will do NOTHING but validate those judgements! This show is so completely pointless. I don't understand how something that is so degrading to humans in general could be kept on the air. And how can a mother drag her 7 year old to a tanning salon (against her will) to get a tan for a school picture?? Don't even get me started on the Olly girls, a complete waste of the Earth's oxygen, two girls resembling oompa loompas who are DESPERATE for attention. I can't possibly believe that they are actually as stupid as they act, I'm sure it's all for show, which is even more pathetic. I wanted to move to L.A. before I saw this show, and now I'm thinking more and more that I should move to NY...

    Sunset tan...

Here's my view on the show...I'll have to agree with lots of people, it is full of orange-tanned, bleached out, fake looking people with lots of drama. But, not to stay that makes it horrible. The first time I watched this show, I was thinking wow...way too much drama. But somehow I kept watching it, wanting to see what happens next (I'm sure that's what gets lots of people sucked into reality shows). I hate to admit it, but I'm amused to watch what stupid things the Olly girls do, who gets fired, who cheats on who, etc. And I watch to see who I will hate in each episode. Plus, I love the LA beach scene (which is what made me watch it in the first place).

Bottom line, this show isn't one of TV's finest...but it's very amusing and it keeps me watching, not because it's a good show but because the drama can become addictive. And for all the people saying "what has TV come to", and these people need to literally die (just a little harsh), nobody's forcing you to watch it. And if everybody had the same opinion as you, then they wouldn't even have it on.

    Is this a joke?

I could not even watch a full episode of this trash, all I saw were pathetic and superficial showing other pathetic and superficial how it's like so great to like have a disgusting ORANGE fake tan.

There was some petty drama and some really stupid dialog from girls that looked like they had been cloned off each other, the episode I caught was unfortunately the one where the Mother takes her poor, innocent daughter to get this dumb fake tan sprayed all over her.

I saw this with some friends and they all had said the same thing, America and especially it's entertainment have to take a very good look at themselves and wonder why so many hate them, It's vapid shows displaying shallow people living shallow lives that make the World outside of the USA see them like this.

I agree with the user that said if he was a terrorist and he had cable that I would make LA my next target, I wouldn't have anyone killed but I would just give them a wake up call.

My question is...when these 'people' die, what are they going to die with?, implants, fake tans, plastic surgery and the fact that the World just laughs at how inane and stupid some can be?
