This was either a very weird film, or else it's the first time I've ever encountered a situation where a foreign film (to an American) just did not translate well.
This film is ostensibly about a group of friends who are going to hang out at their grandmother's farm in Abu Dhabi. One of them hits on some girls at a gas station before they head out.
Once they're at the farm, they start having occasional inexplicable "incidents" that sometimes border on psychedelic. At some point more than half-way in, the guy who was hitting on the girls starts texting them and inviting them over to the farm.
There's some light moments of comedy and lots of arguing, but for the most part there's almost no horror until very close to the end, after which suddenly things just start happening out of nowhere all seemingly related to some stuff one of the guys had been reading all throughout the film.
Unless I am missing some deeper significance that being a native of the middle east or the UAE or familiar with Islam would make more clear, all of this went way over my head and the film itself came across as very weird.

Frankly as Muslim I honestly will not encourage a Muslim country getting into mess of cinema, music etc since UAE was not into it it was better but now they are trying for which I won't give any opinion but would say there is much to achieve for emirati in the field of education, technology, science, security, politics etc rather than cinema.
I just came across this movie and thought of giving it a try, for sone one attempting making movie I will say it was a good attempt and I should appreciate it. Any expecting raw teenagers to give best of acting will be childish they tried and did their best of their capability better then other countries we see worst acting in low budget movies. Though it is definitely not horror bit one won't get bore till the end. Right from the camera angle to the back ground music everything was decent and you feel watching that they worked hard and tried to their best effort. I will definitely appreciate this attempt.

A spectacularly bad movie on every level. The characters are ridiculous, the plot (what there is of one) makes no sense, the acting is risible, the dialogue is nonsense and the direction is laughable. I can't understand how the people involved in this thought what they were doing was ok. This movie makes a mockery of film making as entertainment and how it and the equally terrible Part II ended up on a major streaming network beggars belief. Until I saw this I thought it took talent to make a movie but now I'm off to find some people who have never acted and someone who has never written a script, film it on my phone and wait for the streaming companies to come and throw money at me. Do yourself a favour and watch grass grow instead.
Watch it if you want to waste an hour. The plot makes very little sense, the acting is abysmal and the ending is just... confusing. Complete and utter waste of time.
Dabbe it is not...it's just not enough of anything! It's not BAD, but it's not really GOOD, either! I get the whole correlation between what he's reading and what's happening, but if you aren't an intellectual, most of that could pass you by. Also, there wasn't really a definitive REASON as to why things were happening, and a final ending. I think I'll skip the sequel.
