    Follow me home

This was one of my favourite Chroattion movies where Predrag Djuro Vusović ( Bitange i Princeze, serial movie. I have to say that I really liked his character of Gazda -" The Nymphe" Sex Shop owner )had'd been the main character with Nada Sargin, the most beautiful actress from Serbia ( Sutra ujutru ). Vusovic was really the great in this movie as gypsy porn actor from Chroatia. Serbian and Chroattion girls're one of the most beautiful females in the world. That is my opinion, because I'm From Serbia and I've cousins in Split ( Chroatia ). My ex-girlfriend was Serbian refuge from Chroatia. Her name was Miroslava Opalic from Gospic. We broke up two years ago and I still love her. Btw, Natasha Ivkosic ( Chroatia ) is one of the most famous porn stars in the world. Natasha's first XXX scene was produced by Slobodan Stankovic ( The most famous porn director and producer in Serbia and Hungary.

    Not bad

Just saw the film, the impressions are still pretty fresh. Definitely not a bad film. Pretty articulate usage of voice over, even though sometimes not selected well, speaking of the text. Probably, the biggest problem with this film is insisting on music all the time. Acting is very good, the plot composition is pretty solid. There are also too many theater scenes in the film which are adding the minutes but reducing the points on good black portrait of love and love story in the environment of the region. Clever message behind the multinational characters in this part of Balkans and story that represents the sides, if any. Solid job. 5 out of 10.

A man with no future & a woman with a past

I saw this last month at the 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival and of the 23 films I saw there I would put this in my top three. There has been a lot of films coming out of Croatia & Serbia with the war there as the theme and yes. This is one of those but it's smart balance of dark comedy and heavy drama in a well paced interesting story makes for a wonderful film experience. Martin (Ivan Herceg) is a former military sniper turned private investigator and he enlists the help of a famous star in the Serbian porn industry Djuro (Pedrag Vusovic) to help him find Djuro's co-star in his most famous film, the mysterious and intriguing Desa (Nada Sargin). Desa is working as a hooker for a powerful and sinister pimp called Kriminala (Drazen Kuhn). Martin buys Desa from Kriminalac and takes her from Belgrade back to Zagrib and his reasons as well as his past and hers began to unfold in flashback. Matin unwittingly starts to fall for Desa and she for him. Excellent direction from writer/director Vinko Bresan who co-wrote the script with Mate Matisic and Franjo Mogus. Mogus also doubles as the film's cinematographer with Matisic providing the music score and both wonderfully done. A great look from art director Mario Vezic really gives this film a rich appearance. A great cast and a great combination of filmmakers make this worth seeing. I would give this a 9.5 out of 10 and highly recommend it.

    Unconvincing

I saw the film at the First Mediterranean Film Festival Split (27th May till 31st May 2008) and I was rather disappointed. The idea of the film is not uninteresting but the story is not so convincing. It's another one Bresan's film about Croats and Serbs. The love story between the Serbian prostitute (Nada Sargin) and Croatian warrior (Ivan Herceg) is unconvincing, without stronger motivation and suffocated with too much by the way events. The film wish to be the drama and the comedy at the same time but the result is pretentious. NIJE KRAJ suffers of awkward direction, pale photography and too much voice-over. The rhythm of the film is slow and the film should be twenty minutes shorter. The Mate Matisic's music is OK but there is too much music in the film. 5 of 10

dark love comedy/drama with war background

Just not listen to the previous comments from Serbia and Slovenia. The movie is a little masterpiece. I found it by a coincidence on YouTube and fell in love. Acting is very good, also the plot. For me it is realistic and convincing enough. There is the fact there are plenty of Roman people living on Balkans and I admire their way of survival. Đuro is giving us some of this world perceptive that is really brilliant. And another thing: if You try to explain to someone who is not from the region of ex Yugoslavia what goes on between Croats and Serbs it seems impossible. The movie is little piece into the mosaic of explanation of this mystery, on its own way. I warmly recommend it.

The cemetery scene was filmed in the impressive and beautiful Mirogoj Cemetery, which is considered to be among the more noteworthy landmarks in the City of Zagreb. The cemetery inters members of all religious groups: Catholic, Orthodox, Muslim, Jewish, Protestant, Latter Day Saints; irreligious graves can all be found. In the arcades are the last resting places of many famous Croatians. The cemetery was created in 1876 on a plot of land owned by the linguist Ljudevit Gaj. Architect Hermann Bollé designed the main building. The construction of the arcades, the cupolas, and the church in the entryway was begun in 1879. Work was finished in 1929.
