As a former athlete myself, I can come to terms with what this movie tries to get across. I have had experiences with politics and favoritism with some of the basketball teams I have played on. This film really hit home in certain aspects.
The basketball players were very athletic, especially when we get into college in the last half of the film.
Good movie for a limited budget. We liked it.
I would also urge the scouting camps to seek other resources than schools (and only a few of them at best) to measure a student's readiness for bigger opportunities. Perhaps they could have gone to the family themselves instead of taking the word of a few or one individual as to the qualifications of a potential athlete.
Where in the world was the principal of the school in all this travesty?

- TriviaDirector, Dan Shelby, wanted mostly wide shots of the actors dunking, so the audience can see that they were really dunking on 10 foot rims and not trying to edit around it like most other basketball movies where the actors have little to no athletic ability.
