Desperately seeking the Electric Chair (2006)

I have been wanting to see this short "cell-phone" film and would like to know where to view it online. It was one of the last things Joseph Rutten worked on before he died. He was the man in the wheelchair. Joseph was blessed with perfect timing and loved his work. You may view his MSN memorial space by typing his name in whatever search engine you have. When I came upon your comment on the Electric Chair, it was like having him come to life again. I remember him telling me what fun it was to work on this film, which was not often the case, as Joseph did not suffer fools gladly. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell the world how you were touched by this man's talent.

    Short but exceptionally sweet

This is an interesting short film because it manages to be very profound and sweet--even though the film is only about two minutes long and doesn't really have any dialog other than a group of people singing to a 95 year-old man on his birthday. While he might be very old and wheelchair-bound, this film proves that just because you may be disabled doesn't mean you are dead or that life is just about over! This guy refuses to give in to age and thereby inspires and excites the viewer--without being preachy or maudlin. An excellent and incredibly well made short film that is bound to pull on your emotional heart-strings (unless, of course, you are an idiot!).
