PPV debuts for Buddy Landel, Doug Furnas, Dutch Mantell, Steve Armstrong (Steve James), Tracy Smothers, Big Van Vader (Leon White) and El Gigante (Jorge Gonzáles). It was also Furnas' only NWA/WCW PPV match. It was also the American debut of the Vader gimmick, which Leon White had started in New Japan Pro Wrestling in 1987.
