Chandrasekhar Yeleti: Thanks for being in Tollywood... Thanks for Okkadunnadu

Okkadunnadu, undoubtedly my all time favorite Telugu film, I've seen this film twice in the theater, on the same day and countless number of times on TV and Youtube. Gopichand is fantastic in the film, his histrionics, body language and performance were of top notch. He excelled in the action episodes.

Okkadunnadu is not a regular commercial Telugu film, entertainment levels are less, but still Bramhanandam & Giribabu were hilarious at times. The movie sticks to the point and never deviates, the story becomes clear once the actual thread is revealed. There is a reason behind every move that Gopichand makes. The dialog's made lot of sense specially when Mahesh Manjrekar says "Nee Gunde Dhairyam Chavali Kaani Nee Gunde Bathakali" clearly reveals the intentions of the villain, and that's what makes Gopichand invincible.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti, who earlier gave Aithe & Anukokunda Oka Roju, now comes with another different concept. The direction and the screenplay were great. His direction specially for the ruthless action scenes was awesome.

I loved this film to the core, a perfect 10/10.

THANKS TO CHANDRASEKHAR YELETI, THANKS FOR BEING IN TOLLYWOOD, THANKS FOR MAKING OKKADUNNADU... KUDOS !!

    My Childhood Hollywood...

I still remember watching this movie on television, For a guy like me (from rural area of Andhra Pradesh). This film is sort of revelation, CHANDRA SEKHAR YELETI is a GENIUS. Top notch screenplay, top notch score ( special mention keeravani garu ).

When I watch Gopi Chand garu in such role for me is an eye feast. But the only problem with the Telugu audience at that time is the mass audience and those from B,C centres. They just can't accept this kind of genre or screenplay or else the mood of story... But now (2024) it's different.

I also should special mention those action sequences and the Climax is mad for some and for some audience it can be done in another way or version..

Believe me, even if I am telling talking about this film in 2024. Sometimes I can't believe that this made at those days in a limited budget... All I can say is Thank You Chandu sir for this beautiful experience.... THANK YOU.

Greatest story I have ever witnessed in any Language Cinema. MindBlowing Creativity from director

6years ahead of Hollywood movie GetTheGringo with similar plot. Acting by Gopichand etched in History. MaheshManjrekar NehaJulka & Bramhanandam did outstanding job too. In a extreme serious movie to keep outstanding healthy comedy scene (& even in Titles scene ) without deviating from the raw Emotion of movie.. Sheer Brilliance. & Climax Hero & Villain next level performance. Desperation for money ,heart , family , friendship, Fiancee, To rule mafia(RahulDev) , to get out of problems & adding a Fictional story with realistic screenplay ( BombayBloodGroup truely exists & it's indeed rare blood group . A guy with Artificial suitcase also survived before HeartTransplantion few years later .. Just shows how genius the director ChandrasekharYeleti is ). Dialogues by KoratalaSiva & BGM by Oscar winner Keeravani 🔥 Lastly the fights were superb by RamLaxman. The second fight escape before attack inside Godown, & The last fight in TulipStar hotel is next level. Only volume Modulation was bad in the movie, one scene high & another low, even few dialogues are not crystal clear but understandable in repeat mode. & that watch scene between Hero & Heroine was the only useless scene in Near Perfect movie. First 2songs are heart of the movie & Melodious. Others are below average.

A one of a kind of a film

The central theme of the film in itself in mid-blowing and the screenplay supporting it and story line revolving around our Hero and the characters surrounding it make this film engaging and thrilling at times. The director has made it look like a commercial film so that it captivates audiences and yet this film explores a lot of things. We had seen a number of films revolve around mafia but this film attempts to portray a different perspective on the whole mafia shebang. The cast along with the female lead did their job well and 15 minutes into the movie, one will definitely understand that in these kind of films , story is the hero.
