To commemorate the final episode of the series, Paul Merton's co-star on Have I Got News for You (1990), Ian Hislop, appears as his guest. Hislop becomes the only guest to appear on the show more than once; he previously appeared in Episode #1.2 (1994) before Merton took over as host.
