Corwin Speaks and I Hope Everyone Listens

I read the Leonard Maltin review where he said that this is a "no-frills enterprise." Clearly this is meant as a chronicle of Corwin's career in his own words. Maltin said that this alone was "priceless." I agree. It's basically Norman Corwin speaking about a variety of topics, each section running about 2-4 minutes, interspersed with title cards and some music announcing the next section. He talks about the power of radio, the dangers of war, the Hollywood blacklist, and how "On A Note of Triumph" was created, plus a lot more. Some sections are more interesting than others, but the ones that are good are VERY good. I wish every high school in America would play parts of this to their students. Although the DVD doesn't contain any clips from Corwin's great radio work, I think it's still a very good video and worth your time.
